Poivre de Cassis© is exclusively made from blackcurrant buds: the blackcurrant bud was originally and mainly intended for the perfume industries in Grasse. It is an excellent fixing agent for the aromas and is also used by our Burgundian chefs for a number of different creations. Today, we offer the blackcurrant bud in the form of a spice, thus revealing notes that are at the same time fruity, floral and spicy, the strength of pepper combining with the sharp sweetness of the blackcurrant.

A spice offering the superb colours of the blackcurrant bud: light green, pale pink and brown.

To be used with fish, meat, vegetables, eggs and… chocolate of course!
